Our last day in Hawaii we had breakfast at Ruffage Natural Food. The hubby ordered the Veggie Burrito with brown rice and I got the Tofu Scrambler with toast and brown rice. The burrito (shown below) was really good.
I also ordered an “Airplane Ready” Banana and Peanut Butter sandwich for our trip home, a Chocolate Chip Heart Thrive Bar, a fresh fruit smoothie, and a Kava Drink. The sandwich, Heart Thrive bar, and smoothie were great, but I didn’t care for the Kava Drink. Mark liked it and claimed to immediately feel the “health benefits” mentioned on the label. We had some time between check-out and our shuttle to the airport so we walked along the beach and got a table at The Edge of Waikiki Restaurant at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel.
We tried to take some time to relax and enjoy our French Fries and Frozen Fruit Drinks (which were on special). We had a really great vacation and knew it would be a long time before we could sit at a table, have a drink, and enjoy a view like this one:
That’s all I have to share about our week-long trip to Hawaii. To recap, I got an amazing Vegan Salad (and fantastic late night dinner) at Bene Pesce, delicious Falafel at Da Falafel King, a fresh Tofu and Veggie Dish at the International Market, some tasty Mexican Mall Food, and very vegan-friendly meals at Ruffage Natural Foods. I know I haven’t shared a few restaurants we tried, so I hope to compile a Best Meals in Hawaii post soon.
A very happy and safe 4th of July to everyone! Tonight my family is having a vegan-friendly pot luck at my sister’s place. I haven’t seen some of my family since before our trip, so I can’t wait. Thinking of bringing this delicious looking Pineapple Curry Dish or some of my homemade cookies.
