We took our best buddy Jerry out to lunch this weekend at Tong’s Thai. We recently missed his Birthday and the only way to see him is to kidnap him on his lunch break. The waitress was very nice to answer all my questions about the menu and to check with the Chef when she wasn’t sure. Jerry and I ordered the Pad Thai Tofu without egg, and Mark ordered the Pad Khing Tofu. The egg roll was vegetarian, but I wasn’t sure it was vegan, so I gave mine to Mark. It was all very good and we had a great time catching up. If you’re in Alamo Heights for lunch I would definitely recommend it. Just be sure to check with the waitress for any hidden egg or fish sauce. Order a Thai Tea with Coconut Milk for me, I tried to, but they had taken all the Bubble Teas supplies to the Asian Festival. If you have time afterwards, drop by the McNay Art Museum. It could make for a nice date. Happy Monday!
