The sun sets on our South Padre Island vacation

Here are some of my favorite photos Mark took during our four-day vacation to South Padre Island. It was our first time taking the long drive to the island, but it was worth the wait. We checked into the Hilton Garden Inn early and got settled right away. The views from our suite were incredible, and the room itself was very spacious and accommodating for the four of us. We spent the next few days poolside, on the beach, and visiting destinations around the island. I especially enjoyed our walk on the boardwalk around the South Padre Island Birding and Nature Center, and visiting the rescued turtles at Sea Turtle, Inc. where we met Allison, the first sea turtle in the world to use a successful prosthetic. My favorite meal was at Nami Cuisine, which I recommend if you’re looking for vegetarian-friendly asian cuisine options. Overall it was a wonderful trip. We’re so lucky to have my sister Sarah and her husband Travis as travel buddies. We played in the sand, had lots of laughs, and really enjoyed our vacation together.

p.s. Sorry I’ve been so quiet around here! The hubby and I have lots of film projects going on right now – all exciting stuff. Check out www.WalleyFilms.com to learn more.

    • Isn’t he adorable?! He had lots of little brothers and sisters too. They need to grow to the size of dinner plates before being released back into the wild. Thanks for the compliment, loved your recent beach photos too!
